Policy on Accepting Donations

The mission of the George Peabody House Museum is to collect, preserve and interpret a collection of historical artifacts related to the leather industry of the City of Peabody, Massachusetts, and the life of philanthropist George Peabody, in order to educate the worldwide community about their legacies.

If you have objects that you would like to donate to the museum, please call us at 978-531-0355 or stop by during regular business hours. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE OBJECTS ON THE DOORSTEP. They will unfortunately have to be disposed of.

In order to provide adequate care to our collection, the museum can only collect objects that pertain to our mission statement. All other objects will not be accepted. However, if applicable, we will recommend another institution for you to contact about the object(s).
